In 1948, a series of International Conferences to Catholic Leaders began, and they were called “Promise and Law”. These conferences were carried out every two years and they were known as the “International Conference of Catholic Guiders” and they were carried out for fifteen years.

On the 8th of January of 1965, the CICG is constituted by 21 countries, adhering to its Catholic Charter, its Statutes and approving its Bye-laws and the declaration of relations between WAGGGS and CICG Modus Agendi and electing Marie-Therése Cheroutre as Secretary General.
